Disney World

There are tons of Disney World services available that can make your trip a lot easier.

However, a lot of people don’t know about these services, or don’t think to use them when the time comes.

Disney World pays attention to its guests. They know that the more they do to make your trip easier, the more money you’re likely to spend and the more likely you are to come back.

And honestly, it works. Sure, Disney World vacations can be expensive. But this is definitely an instance of “you get what you pay for.”

As a result, there are plenty of services Disney includes in your trip to better justify the cost. Here are the top ten Disney World services you should definitely make use of.

Side note: This post was written with normal circumstances in mind. Some of the items on this list may be altered, limited, or unavailable during the pandemic.

My Disney Experience

My Disney Experience is an App you can download on your phone or access from your desktop via Disney’s website.

This app allows you to digitally manage your trip. You can view your reservation, park tickets, dining, and so much more.

We’re going to cover a few app-specific services in this post that warrant special attention, but this app is an awesome service in and of itself.

You can learn more about the My Disney Experience app here and check it out on Disney’s site here.

Mobile Check-in

Speaking of Disney World services in My Disney Experience, did you know you can check into your resort hotel from your phone?

This allows you to skip the front desk entirely. You can check in days prior to your arrival, which allows you to make room requests and specify your arrival time.

You’ll get a notification and/or text message when your room is ready with your room number and any other important information.

This allows you to go right to your room when you arrive at your resort.

Mobile Order

You can also use My Disney Experience to order your counter service meals!

This means you can skip the line most people use to order from and simply tap your order into your phone, pay for it, and let the restaurant know you’re there so you get fresh.

This Disney World service can end up saving you a ton of time waiting in line, which isn’t something to overlook.

This isn’t available at every counter service location, but it’s available at a lot of them, so it’s definitely worth exploring.

Disney Transportation

Disney is a master at moving people around their parks and resorts. At the root of this is Disney’s complimentary transportation system.

There are multiple ways to get to every park and at least one way to get to and from each resort (though many resorts have multiple options as well).

Once you’re on Disney property, you rarely have to worry about how you’re getting from point A to point B.

This Disney World service is free to anyone on Disney property, whether you’re staying at a resort or not.

The Magical Express

And speaking of getting people around, if you’re staying a Disney resort, then there’s also a Disney World service to get you to and from the airport.

Disney’s Magical Express is another free Disney service (as long as you’re staying at a Disney World Resort) that can make your trip significantly easier.

Not only will Disney take you to and from your resort, but upon your arrival, they’ll also collect your luggage so you don’t have to wait or worry about it.

You can go right from the plane, to the Magical Express, to the park. Your luggage will be in your room when you get back.

Merchandise Pick-up

If you’ve ever made a purchase in a theme park and had to worry about carrying your item around after, this service is for you!

Disney’s merchandise pick up makes it possible for you to send your in-park purchases to a pick up location at the front of the park for you to pick up on your way out, or to your Disney Resort for next day pick up.

This means you don’t have to worry about carrying a bulky object, being weighed down by a heavy object, or stressing about a fragile object.

FastPass

Time is absolutely money in Disney World and few things eat up your time like having to wait in line.

FastPass makes it possible for you to reserve a time on some of the more crowded and popular rides, so you can ride with a reduced wait time.

You can pick 3 FastPasses prior to your arrival and once you use all of those FastPasses up, you can add more.

The Dining Plan

This Disney Dining Plan is an option that allows you to pre-pay for your meals.

There are several Dining Plan options, which allows you to choose the best option for you.

This is a great option for anyone who has a big appetite, or who doesn’t want to worry about sticker shock and/or sticking to a budget on vacation.

You simply add the dining plan to your room reservation. By the time you get to Disney World, the only thing you need to budget for is souvenirs, tips, and any extra experiences you might want to have.

You can learn more about the Dining Plan in this post.

Photopass

Disney World has photographers stationed all over the park to take your photo so you never have to rely on a passing stranger to help you out.

You can purchase Memory Maker, which gives you access to every single picture a Photopass photographer might take on your trip. Or, you can purchase any individual picture you might want.

Additionally, you can also ask a photopass photographer to take a picture with your own phone or camera.

Guest Services

Disney World’s Guest Services cast members (and all cast members really), go above and beyond to do what they can for their guests.

If you have any problem on your trip, you shouldn’t hesitate to reach out to a cast member, or guest service team member.

They might not be able to make every wish and request come true, but they’ll certainly do what they can for you.

Disney Cast Members truly do their best to create magical moments and memories whenever they can. It’s always worth asking to see if there’s something they might be able to help you with.
