Today, we’re going to talk about Verelle Styler Trio!
These are three different styling products from Verelle. The soft curl cream, the milky curl cream, and the styling cream.
They can be purchased individually or together.
I’ve had the chance to test these products out several times. And I’m excited to tell you about them!
I’m going to be structuring this review a little bit differently from previous reviews. Typically, I look at the pros, cons, and bottom line impressions of each product.
In this case, I found the pros and cons to be the same. So for this review, I’m going to give you the pros and cons of these products overall, then break down the differences and my impressions of each product.
Keep in mind, I can only speak from my experience with my 3a/3b hair. My hope is that this review will be a good guide for all the curly girls out there, but your results may be very different from mine.
Side note: These products were provided at no cost by Verelle, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Additionally, this page does contain affiliate links, which means if you purchase something using the product links on this page, I may get a small commission. This comes at no extra cost to you and helps keep this site running. Thank you!
Also, I follow the simplified version of the Curly Girl Method most directly derived from the Curly Girl Handbook. This means the only ingredients I look to avoid are sulfates, silicones, and drying alcohols. If you have more ingredients that you look to avoid, it would be a good idea to check the ingredients for yourself before making a purchase.
The Styler Trio
Pros
You only need one product
This was the thing that intrigued me the most about Verelle’s styling products. They each claim that it’s the only product you’ll need. As in, no gel is necessary!
Since gel is such a staple to curly hair care, I was skeptical. But this actually turned out to be true!
It’s also probably my favorite thing about this line. Now, you can mix and match these products to get different looks. I’m told some people really enjoy that.
But I found I only needed one and that was something that made me really happy.
Reduced drying time
Because I only needed one product, I found my drying time was significantly reduced. This has made these products especially valuable anytime I’m short on drying time.
Plus, a little goes a long way with these products, which I think played a role in this.
Refreshable
All of the products refreshed well! Some did better than others, which we’ll get into later, but on the whole, all of these products gave me curls for days.
Scent
For the most part, the scents of all of these products were light and fresh.
The strongest scent was with the milky curl cream, which also happened to be my least favorite. It had more of a salon type of smell. It wasn’t bad enough to stop me from using the product, but it’s one that’ll take some getting used to.
They all more or less worked with my hair
These products were designed for different types of curls. One for wavy, one for curly, and one for coily.
So, I was really pleased to find that all of these products worked well for my hair! They all did slightly different things, but I could genuinely use all of them depending on the look I was going for.
Cons
Price
Buying these products together costs $50 at the time of writing this post. Separately, they’re each currently $26. This is above the $15 price point I typically like to pay for a product.
However, the fact that I only need one product, when I typically need at least two, definitely makes this price a lot more reasonable.
If you want to give all three a shot, you can get the styler trio here.
The Soft Curl Cream
This product was made with wavys in mind. Because of that, I thought the hold would probably be too weak for me and it would be my least favorite. But that wasn’t the case at all!
This turned out to be my second favorite. The hold was ligher, but that ultimately resulted in more of a softer, bouncier curl, which I really enjoyed!
However, this was also the cream that was the least refreshable for me. I typically refresh 3-4 days. This did great for day 2 and decent for day 3. But by day 4, it was frizzier than I’d like to be.
This is probably because of the lighter hold. I think my hair needs more moisture locked in to get the refresh I’m used to.
The Milky Curl Cream
This product was made for curly hair (basically, my hair type), so I was expecting to like this one the most. But this turned out to be my least favorite of the styler trio.
It typically looked good, but I found it left my hair a little tackier and weighed down.
I think the biggest reason for this is it was very easy to use too much of this product. It’s the only product that was in a squeezable container, and the milky texture of the cream made it difficult to control how much of the product came out at once.
Again, I liked all of these products, but I still haven’t found a way to get results with this one that both look and feel good.
I think I will if I keep playing with it, but this one has more of a learning curve.

The Styling Cream
This was made for coily hair, but it actually turned out to be my favorite! The strong hold gave me great frizz control, but it never felt sticky or heavy.
This line as a whole created more separated curl clumps than I usually go for. But I found it gave my hair more all-around volume, which I enjoyed.
For me, this product did the best job of giving me great curls and I had no problems refreshing my hair for days.
